Under the initiative of M.D. Silva, Secretary General NOC of Sri Lanka, Damjan Pintar visited Sri Lanka in November 2015. The main purpose of his visit was to serve as NOC’s consultant for several sport related topics including a National High Altitude Centre project aimed to help with the development of Sri Lanka´s sport and tourism sector.
Following the meetings, Mr Hemasiri Fernando, President of the National Olympic committee of Sri Lanka, and Secretary General M.D.Silva, offered Damjan Pintar the role of honorary consultant to the NOC Sri Lanka marketing team for the next three years. The whole marketing team consists of four persons: Vice president Joseph Kenny, Secretary General M. De Silva, Eranga Weerasinghe and Damjan Pintar from SporTour. Their first task is to develop the marketing program for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
