Third Slovenian edition of IPC world cup in alpine skiing was held between January 18th to 20th in Kranjska Gora. It was also the first ever IPC world cup that was available to audiences around the world via livestreaming.

Athletes from 20 countries competed at the FIS slope Podkoren in Kranjska Gora in excellent, natural and technical snow conditions. Different stakeholders from the world of sports and tourism supported by private and institutional partners worked together to organize trainings and 3 competitions – one giant slalom and two slalom races.

SporTour’s role was to prepare a marketing program, to support Hit Alpinea, who took responsibility over the event and coordinated all the activities in Kranjska Gora. From Slovenia, the athletes moved to Treviso, Italy to fight for the World Championships titles.

This event was the first out of a total of five that are planned in cooperation with IPC in Slovenia in 2017. The other ones include European Cup in alpine skiing and training camp for young athletes supported by AGITOS sports club in Kranjska Gora, European Cup in snowboarding on Rogla and Sports forum event in Kranjska Gora at the end of winter season 2016/2017. SporTour will participate in all the events.
