Building long-term relations
With his visits to Sri Lanka in May and to Kosovo in June, Damjan Pintar continues his work to establish excellent long-term relations with the local National Olympic Committees.
In Sri Lanka Damjan Pintar met with Mr Maxwell de Silva – Secretary General of the Sri Lankan NOC to discuss the current NOC situation and evaluate what future steps should be taken. He also had the opportunity to meet the new NOC President Mr Suresh Subramanian – a respected businessman with sports background and a great passion for tennis.
In June Damjan Pintar travelled to Kosovo, where he lectured at an Advanced Sports Management Course. Fulfilling his role of the advisor to the local NOC he also worked with the NOC Team to advise on improving some organizational matters. As Kosovo with its natural beauty is slowly beginning to mark its presence at the world tourism map, Damjan Pintar was also invited to a meeting with Mr Fadil Arifi the Kosovo Vice Minister of Tourism. The gentlemen discussed future cooperation possibilities. SporTour’s leading expert paid also a visit to Arxhena mountain resort to investigate business opportunities and soon after the Kosovo Team visited Slovenia where Damjan Pintar organized for them meetings with potential Slovene partners.
