Start of NOC Kosovo marketing program with the support of Olympic Solidarity
Together with the President of the Kosovo National Olympic Committee Mr Besan Hasani and his advisor for Rio 2016 Olympic Games Ms Elda Gjoka, Damjan Pintar – Olympic Solidarity consultant and SporTour expert – worked in Pristina, Republic of Kosovo from March 20th till March 22nd 2016 on preparation of the first comprehensive marketing program for NOC Kosovo.
Following the agreements made during his first visit in Kosovo in February 2016, Damjan Pintar visited NOC Kosovo again to share his knowledge and help NOC Kosovo develop a long term marketing strategy. As a result, after almost a week of intense work, the first draft, based on the experiences and models from other countries from all around the globe with modifications tailored to the Kosovo market, was presented to the NOC Kosovo Executive Board. The draft gained the Board’s approval and Mr. Hasani’s team moved on to the next step presenting the draft to potential partners from Kosovo, Slovenia and Italy with the purpose of performing a test before the Rio 2016 marketing campaign is launched.
New possibilities for sponsorships, promoting Kosovo athletes through the Olympic Movement and the merge of business and sport were also the main subject of discussion during a meeting held by the Slovenian ambassador in Kosovo Mr Miljan Majhen and attended by the President of NOC Kosovo Besan Hasani, Ms Gojka and Damjan Pintar.
The whole week of intense work was concluded on the morning of March 26th 2016 with a lecture Damjan Pintar gave during a workshop organized by NOC Kosovo team on “The Importance of Strategic Planning and Roadmap Instrument”.
