International Winter and Mountain Tourism Congress – Erzurum, Turkey
SporTour participates in the first International Winter and Mountain Tourism Congress organized by Turkish government.
November, 14th – 17th, Damjan Pintar of SporTour and Dr. Boštjan Brumen – Dean of Faculty of Tourism at the University of Maribor, represented together Slovenia at the first International Winter and Mountain Tourism Congress in Erzurum. The congress was organized by the Turkish government in cooperation with the EU and Silk Road Project.
For four days participants from Turkey, Iran and EU discussed the future of mountain resorts development. Damjan Pintar was one of the speakers at the Sport events and tourism panel, presenting a sustainable model of mountain resorts development guaranteeing benefits for all the stakeholders involved.
The congress was also a great opportunity for Erzurum to share with all the participants information about strategy and development plans for their candidature for 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
